Why Hideout Exists

The world doesn’t need another bar — it needs places that bring people together through health, fun, and a good vibe.

Hideout is that place. It’s a healthy place to hangout and experience the highs of contrast therapy. It’s closer to a beer garden or bar than longevity studio, wellness center, or spa. We serve contrast therapy instead of booze, share sauna benches rather than barstools, and chase endorphins over hangovers.

All set in an outdoor village designed to feel like a communal backyard. Music, string lights, garden and seating spaces.

Founder Story: How Hideout was born

A few years ago, I was stuck — no community, bored of bars, and burnt out behind a screen. Like so many people, I was chasing a career I didn’t want while losing touch with the simple, primal feeling of being alive.

Then, on a trip to Norway, something clicked. My wife and I spent our days hiking and kayaking, and one afternoon, after plunging into a freezing fjord and stepping into a sauna, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time — completely alive.

That moment came during one of the darkest stretches of my life. We had just moved across the country, I was working alone from home, and I had no community. I’d spent plenty of time in bars, but I was craving a place that brought people together without booze — something cool, social, and healthy.

Truth is, I’d been chasing this idea since 2021 — when I created my first social wellness concept that made health feel fun and communal again. After experiencing sauna culture in Norway, and seeing inspiring sauna village designs the idea hit me: what if I could recreate the energy of a vibey outdoor brewery — the music, the people, the buzz — just built around health instead of hangovers?

So I set out to build a space for that. A place to heat up, cool down, and feel alive.
